I think Trevor is funny in everything he does and I cannot pick just one line or show because he is always funny. What I love is how smart his comedy is and how his comedic timing is always on point. Regardless of where you’re from or how you have grown up, he will always have something universal that you can relate to. One of my favorite comedians since I first saw him on Live at the Apollo. Would be so fun to see him again
The video with Trevor and his Nan having a Conversation about him growing up. 🙂
Welcome to Great India
One word and one word only, “SNAAAAAAAKE!” Genuinely had me in tears and I love it has an action to go with it!
It’s difficult to choose just one Trevor Noah moment. I just love him and anything he says on print. But from the top of my head I recall one about a brown person being a British Prime Minister, Trevor says ‘Can you imagine white English people trying to rule a country where no one looked like them’ 🤣
It hands down was one of the truest and funniest remark by him.
My favourite Trevor Noah moment is when he is at UK Customs. The place where you should not try to be funny is always the funniest place to be for all the wrong reasons. Plus his Regional accent is brilliant too.
When you land in South Africa and you know you have landed..the people that announce don’t think they interview them it’s like who ever is close to the mic can announce…you will hear ATTENTION ALL PASSENGERS its gate 3 not gate 4 if you go to gate 4 oooh you find nothing …eeh kuntshelile mfuni chicken eeey I drumstick ..mana mani ngisasebenza
My favourite Trevor moment was at the Diary of a CEO.
Now I know that he is not only a brilliant comedian but also a beautiful soul.
Thank you so much to make us laugh and deeply wondering about every sketch you did.
His best joke:
We vote for Brexit because we want Brittain back. Those bloody immigrants. They are up to no good. They need to go back to where they came from.
Why do you hate them so much?
I tell you why I hate them. They’re not even trying to be British. They come here, they bring their own culture, they bring their own food, speak their own language, trying to take over the whole place….
That sounds British to me!
When Trevor imitates a French accent, I totally identify with the character 😂
Hahahahaha I’ve just been to France and when I was packing I thought of Trevor saying make sure to pack self esteem cos you will need it shopping with the French
I unpacked and rethought my outfit choices 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How to choose my favorite Trevor Noah moments?
Him visiting his grandmother back in South Africa; and despite his successes she lived simply.
Trevor’s amazing tennis skills 😂
Watching him live in Singapore was such a memorable experience; I can’t wait to have the same experience in London!
“De Schwarze Hitler” scene where your ordering a chicken sandwich. The whole bit about Obama learning to have a charismatic voice from Nelson Mandela and then Trevor Noah’s impression was hilarious
His joke on flying in the time of Ebola as a South African.
His joke about Indians not respecting personal space.
Love Trevor’s joke about traffic lights adding atmosphere to the intersection in Africa 😂 so true
And his whole Bangalore set 👌🏽
It is always the conversation between the British soldiers invading India on their horses.
Not only is Noah’s comedic timing is brilliant, it is also how he subjectively tackles world politics.
I just love it!
It will always be the first time I ever saw his stand up (2014 maybe?), when he was talking about wanting to impress his dad by learning German, and how he would learn by listening to German content, but ended up listening to a bunch of Hitler speeches. The way he does his sandwich order and sounds like Hitler is PRICELESS!
I first saw Trevor about 15 years ago when he was one of the resident comedians on Tuesday nights at an underground bar called The Blues bar in my hometown of Johannesburg. They were all hilarious and its been been amazing seeing his rise from a local comedian that made my friends and I laugh, to international recognition. It would be amazing to see him live again now that I’m living in London!
Favourite moment is his behind the scenes on the daily show with Anna Kendrick. I watch it regularly if I want to laugh.
Hands down it has to be when the British invade India skit, from the bit about God to, “You look like you’ve been playing hide and seek with the sun.. if I was your Dr, I don’t need xray machine, what is problem, it is your kidney, how do I know? Because you’re translucent!”
I saw Trevor after reading his book. I was absolutely amazed by his journey and was wanting to more of him as a person. I love his storytelling and observations. His joke on British reaching India and having their first conversation is my go to video for every mood swing. ❤️❤️❤️
Trevor’s balinese snake show joke. It’s too funny I literally wet myself!
Been following Trevor for over 10 years and love everything he does.
But one of my favourite sketches is “Being black in America”.
…This you, nah nah this you, this you?…I think it is” 🤣🤣
My favourite Trevor moment has to be from his book, Born a Crime. The opening story about how him and his mum jumped out of a moving vehicle because they knew they were about to be kidnapped always leaves me in stitches. What a way to open a book! 😄
Bad weather colonisers!
*I repost it everytime it comes on my insta feed.
Highlight for me will always be reading his book. So honest and open, intertwining that comical twist.
It has to be bra-vader 🙂
His joke on how to do the russian accent had me in laughs for hours.
The inspiring story of Christopher Columbus and how white men can fail up! CLASSIC. One of the wittiest I’ve heard in a stand up comedy
As a coloured South African my favourite Trevor Noah moment has to be the joke of how the coloured person told the story of the plane crash without even being on the plane
Another classic is his impression of the intercom at the airports in South Africa
And last but not least is the little African children going up the escalator for the first time. I will forever sing the Escalator song going up any escalator
My favourite moment of Trevor is when he tells the joke about his little cousin or brother crying and he compares his crying to the Lil uzi song XO tour llif3, everytime I see it, it makes me laugh 😂
“Have you ever had AIDS…? AIDS aids aids aids 😂 remain la a classic, even with the rising numbers in youth HIV rates
“This snake looked like it had enough of life, like it had a mortgage” 😂
For me it’s his interview with Simon Senek-
Where they casually drop insights as part of their conversation- and each of them will be absolutely amazed by what they’ve just uncovered.
One example was him talking about coexisting with people you don’t get along with, which really resonated with me because you find so many people struggling with it now.
My favorite bit of Trevor’s is his interaction of an Indian man with a British soldier saying you look so pale, which god do you believe in? How presemptuous of you to call yourself Great Britain? Shouldn’t the others do that. It is such beautiful writing delivered to absolute perfection with all the accents. Love it
I love Trevor as a person and also as a comedian. His comedy is educational and funny at the same time. You learn a lot about different cultures, topics and current events whilst having a good laugh.
I am an ardent listener of his podcast “What Now” and he has changed how l relate with my friends because of the way he talks about his friends and the value of friendship. His episodes where he hosts his friends his such a joy and relatable experience as an African living in the UK. His recent chat with his friend Khaya who is an author was one of my favourite moments and while they navigate childhood stories, they also talk about grief in the most poignant way.
It would be great to see him do his thing live, I am already laughing and smiling at the thought of it 😂
I loved when he switched it up and allowed the audience to ask questions. I raised my hand i wasnt chosen, i wanted to ask if he would write another book, which he later released. Ive read both his books and i love how he interacts with his mother it actually reminds me of my boyfriend. Reading his autobiography makes you feel familiar with him and i just love when he recalls moments from his childhood in his show.
I love Trevor because he always has this clean humor and finds joy in everyday situations. He also embraces different cultures and social dynamics, making his humor relatable and funny for everyone.
Truly, one of the best out there right now
Trevor is so articulate.
In spite of his obviously elevated IQ he manages to so concisely confer his insights at a level that anyone can relate to.
One of my favorite moments was his behind the camera epitaph to the black women who raised him and continue to influence his thought process. In very simple words he described an entire human condition, and I’m fairly sure that I can speak for us in saying that we heard him, and we’re grateful.🙏🏽
As a Black woman of Caribbean descent born in the UK, my favourite Trevor Noah moment is when he told his audience if they want to know: what’s going on in the world, how and why it’s going on, ask a Black woman.
His speech made my heart, head and chest feel big, empowered and special. Thank you Trevor, I’ll never forget that💙🇱🇨
Trevor has such a unique capability of making a large venue intimate. I almost feel like he is one of my friends. My mum thinks he’s a very good beta (that’s son in bengali btw), the highest compliment a mother can give. His bits on british colonialism in India are incredible, almost like a benevolent schadenfreude 😉 I most certainly used schadenfreude wrong but hey ho!
My favourite moment with Trevor Noah was my first show in the UK: Into the uncut Grass. I knew I would love it, but my experience was even better than my expectations. The way he joked about family dynamics as an African but also highlighting by the importance of keeping family connections. Especially stories about his grandma… so relatable.
Most important thing I took from and have started practicing since attending the show was making the efforts to connect with people around us especially in friendship which is mostly overlooked. I really cannot wait to attend Trevor Noah show again!!! It’s real life mixed with comedy and great knowledge 🤗🤗
I think post-Trump Trevor Noah is the best! Trevor Noah’s moment is one yet to come. It’s been a phenomenal journey so far and u cannot wait to see more, much more of it.
One memorable Trevor Noah moment was his stand-up bit about learning to speak different languages in South Africa. In his special “Afraid of the Dark,” Trevor humorously described how language can change how people perceive you.
He told a story about getting out of trouble by switching from English to an African language when confronted by a group of people. The sudden shift in language, along with his perfect accents and animated expressions, was both hilarious and insightful. The bit highlighted how language can be a powerful tool for connection and survival, all while keeping the audience laughing.
It’s a classic Trevor Noah moment that captures his storytelling genius and cultural humor.
When he spoke about growing up with his African family and then later in life connecting with his dad and learning the language, and being able to make jokes about being African.
My favourite Trevor Noah moment definitely has to be Jacob Zuma using Facebook!🤣
It’s an oldie but an absolute goldie! Hoping for a few SAFFA references throughout the show!
Its my routine to have my meals while watching the daily show or watching netflix specials of Trevor. My most favourite piece of comedy is him discussing Rishi Sunak becoming prime minister and effect on some racist British people.
I think when Trevor was on his show and he used to talk about trumps policies
My favourite, was when he went to pick up his younger brother from school and the brother was explaining. How he explained colourism to his friend by using chocolate as an example. How he is and talks about his family. Its what makes his shows different.
Up to now…the joke that will forever live in my head is the ‘Uhhh please don’t bite me’…..impressions of Jacob and his wife😂😂😂😂
Since then I have been a huge fan and it’s been God knows how many years now.
My funniest Trevor Noah moment isn’t from one of his standup shows actually it’s from his book, the story about how his mum threw him out of the bus in order to save him and the way he tells the story is mesmerising for me as it could be the most tragic moment in a child’s life yet I laughed so hard I felt bad! 🙂
Oh I am late! But Trevor! I finally get to see you Live. Been following your stand-up for nearly a decade now, since you started out in South Africa with those poor quality YouTube videos. I still have a problem with your Nigerian accent, since we’re both learners of life, I will be happy to teach you while you roast me. Looking forward to an awesome show!
Ah my funniest moment is when you talked about South african nurses and how they treat you when you are injured. My favourite stand-up of all time!
Oh theres so many! But one of my favorites is definitely where he explains how a coloured person from south africa would explain the airplane crash! Lol. “Kykie, we mos flying ne” “the pilot is mos another ou” “skiet donuts sunny”hahaha. love it
From his comedic timing to his vast array of accent mimicking, stories of his childrenhood to the numerous travel tales. Trevor Noah is one of those few comedians who capture you whole heartedly. I have loved seeing everyone of his shows, stand ups and many moments of the Daily Show. Always pray I’d bump into him when he does a tour in London and travels on the underground, that’s what you call a down to earth people’s comedian. Love you Trevor keep shining bright. That one favourite moment that I will always remember will be ‘You have one God, well we have many gods’ in a brilliant Indian accent 🤣🤣
I’m a huge fan and the “How The British Took Over India” skit cracks me up. As a British Indian, it’s so on point when he says to the White coloniser you look like you’ve been playing hide and seek with that complexion your whole life.
Omg! So many! The top has to be – How the British came to India! Another one is ‘ If you hate immigrants, stop eating our food!’
I loved his chat with his Gogo.Such an admiral woman, pillar of the earth type, and so real of the many Gogos helping to bring up children in the South African landscape
My ultimate clip of Trevor is his speech about black some. His mother raised him amazingly well and with his own voice to make the world life and bring a tostada different perspective on how the world sees black women
My favourite Trevor Noah moment was at his book launch in London. I attended and was lucky enough to have my question read out which he answered. He had us all in stitches that evening. I think he’s funnier in everyday life than on the stage.
I have had the privilege of being born in south africa and growing up listening to Trevor ask i have heard so many things from him. But the one of the funniest is him learning an American accent to only be told he is Mexican. This man is a genius in speaking about our multi national country with love and respect. He shares the beauty of the country’s people. That’s what I love most about Trevor.
Not only is Trevor funny as hell, he’s utterly intelligent. I listen to his podcast religiously and everything he is in.
He’s a kind of modern guru. He’s way of speaking his ideas is phenomenal.
I’ve never had the opportunity to watch him live so I hope that luck is on my side and I get to have this pleasure.
One word: snake
As a Zambian, I really saw the funny side in his “Zambia loves escalators, just don’t be gay” skit. Shows Trevor’s brilliance if he can take the piss of your country and still make you laugh! He’s an absolute genius!
The in between scenes during the Daily Show where he talks about all his experiences and has different accents when he talks. So funny
My favorite Trevor Noah moment when he talked about immigration and how people should accept us,
It always made me feel less stressful about being a refugee…
His perfect imitation of a Scottish accent..
Must be his joke about accents in “Afraid of the Dark”, it had me in tears. The way he compared a British accent making anything sound sophisticated while an American one turns even profound thoughts into nonsense was hilarious. His impressions were spot-on, and I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s one of those jokes that sticks with you because it’s so true. Winning tickets would mean the world — it’s my best friend’s birthday on the day of the show, and she is a huge fan too, both if his shows and his book. and there’s no better gift than experiencing that laughter together. I’d love to share that with her
Trevor is such a talented guy who’s perfectly mentions serious problems in the World and mixing with his sarcastic style.
I adore him as he speaks so many languages, clever and so handsome.;)
Imitating his cousin crying. Gets me every single time 🤣
I absolutely love most of Trevor’s jokes but I don’t know what any of them are called so I’ll try to narrate as best as I can. He talks about how shocked the European Caucasian community are at the Ukraine/Russia war but all the war in Africa seems normal. Which is in fact surprising because all great wars that have gone down in history have been brought about by the Europeans. Obviously, I’m no Trevor Noah 😂. Anyways, he finishes off by saying that they probably think it’s okay in Africa because they’re “fast” runners. Take a look at Usain! And we have the “Great Britain” joke too which is my back up moment 🙈. Good luck to us guys!!!
Queuing in India! #PleaseMindTheGap
We had ‘Off the record’ tickets for Apr 2020. That was obviously postponed indefinitely. Then finally in Nov 2023, Trevor arrived at the O2 and opened with the line “We made it!”
His show was exactly what we needed after years of lockdown.
My favourite Trevor Noah moment is the bit he did about the English colonising the world!
loved every episode of Trevor’s The Daily Show, including the pandemic hoodie days! He just speaks common sense and it was so refreshing to see someone on an American show who had worldly experience and views. My favourite was probably when he paid tribute to the women in his life that raised him, too often the unsung heroes. Miss seeing you daily Trevor but would love to see you live.
One of my favorite Trevor Noah moments has to be when he hilariously explained the differences between British, American, and South African accents—his impressions were spot on!
