Up & Comic Souls

Up & Comic Souls is a new stand-up series that showcases an exhilarating mix of international, national and local comedians in one evening on the same stage.

From marine biologist and artist manager to stand-up comedians. Forrest Shaw (US) and Scott Baker-Marflitt (UK) both left their former professions behind to become stand-up comedians, and they’re coming to select cities in Norway and Europe this fall.

American Forrest Shaw is best known as comedy star Jim Jeffries’ writer and partner both on stage and on the popular talk show The Jim Jefferies Show. The former marine biologist, now stand-up comedian, is coming to Europe for the first time to talk about among other things…cats. His other topics include gambling addiction, medical issues, and growing up in Miami with a hippie mother. Over the last few years, the stand-up comedian has contributed both behind and in front of the camera on a number of TV shows, such as Legit, Swamp Wars, his own award-winning show Labor days, and the aforementioned The Jim Jefferies Show.

Scott Baker-Marflittis British, but currently resides in Norway. He’s a breath of fresh air on the comedy stage and a veteran of the music industry who used to work as an artist manager.  In his shows, he shares his absurd experiences from the music industry and his deep-seated frustrations as an Englishman living in a foreign country, all with a delightful edge.

As he puts it:

“I’m an only child! It was either start writing to perform stand-up as a catharsis or start punching people at will. But apparently punching people that are not allowed or something.”
