There haven’t been anyone with more records or awards on their CV in Lillehammer’s Olympia park since 1994.

In addition to all the awards, “Best Entertainment Performance” (BAFTA), “Best Comedy Entertainment Personality” (British Comedy awd.), “Best Comedian” (GQ), “Best Stand Up” (British Comedy awd.), “Best Headliner” (Chortle), “Best Tour” (Chortle), “Best TV Comic” (British Comedy awd.), “Best Entertainment show” (NTA), Mr McIntyre is also the holder of quite a few records.

Just recently he became the highest selling artist in the history of “Europe’s main stage” the O2 Arena. Selling over 400,000 tickets over 28 shows, surpassing the previous record held by Take That.
Emma Bownes (O2 programming director) told Chortle.co.uk that; ‘To have broken this record is a huge achievement and a testament to Michael McIntyre’s continued popularity with fans. We had the pleasure of presenting him with the keys to The O2 in 2015 when he hit the magic 21 shows – a record first established by Prince in 2007 – and every show he’s done here has been brilliant.’
He’s got a similar record on African soil, in 2013 Michael M
cIntyre played the biggest comedy gig in Africa to date at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg. His success as a touring Stand Up comedian has made him one of the comedians in the world with the highest box office numbers. According to Pollstar he was the highest grossing comedian in the world for the first time in 2012, outselling other comedy legends like Jerry Seinfeld etc. at the box offices.

The current tour he is on, “BIG WORLD TOUR”, will take him out to do 104 shows at 5 continents. So hopefully he’ll stop somewhere nearby. Check out https://acomicsoul.com/michael-mcintyre/ and https://www.michaelmcintyre.co.uk/big-world-tour/ for more info.
