My favorite new thing is his show about parenting, thats some real practicle advise with hopefully some future applicabilty…
Cathy Newman got caught in her own web in a freedom of speech debatt against Jorfan Petersen. Brilliant!
He talks about common sence in a way that folk lisen. He is so serious and that make people listening. I am a few years older than him and I am so glad to hear what we learned things that have been ”out” for so long. He says it with beautiful logic and knowledge
One of my favorite Jordan Peterson moments is when he said, ”Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.”
That simple idea helped me stop getting stuck in unhealthy comparisons and start focusing on my own growth. A game changer!
My favorite moment with JBP involves another person as well. It was when a female reporter in her, i guess early 30’s asked JBP about why she as a successfull woman satisfied with her life, should bother with children at all. Jordan calmly and kindly reminded her that she would live to be eighty. And after she will become 40-45 her years would be different compared to her life now. Perhaps more lonely. The reporter shared the clip with her beeing pregnant a short time after that. It made me so glad that something so positive and helpful to the world came out after that little conversation. Thank you JBP for your contribution to meaning, that makes life bearable!
I cannot not pick a specific quote of his. Therés just too many!
But I relish his integrity and intellectual honesty.
To see him disarm arguments from lesser knowing or confused opponents without being the least rude or condescending, keeping himself above all base quarells in media and politics using pure logic is so satisfying and gives me hope for humanity.
